Everything is okay today. Zoe had one little episode this morning where her heart rate got really high (SVT), but the nurses corrected it and they are just going to watch her closely to make sure it doesn't happen again. The nurses were also a bit worried about Sadie and her spitting up, but they adjusted the amount of food she is getting and she hasn't spit up again, so hopefully it was a food volume issue and not something more serious.

On the parent front, Rich and I are just exhausted. While the surgery is over, we are clearly aware of the fact that we have a long road ahead of us and for some reason, that reality is a little tough to take today. But, we are hanging in there and I know we will feel better after a little rest and regrouping.

Oh Deb and Rich - I am wrapping my skinny arms around you both, virtually at least! I send you HUGE hugs of love, support, endurance, and patience. You are going through soooo much -- all new parents are exhausted and most of us have not had to endure what you two have endured for the last several weeks (even before the birth of your two sweet girls). So get as much rest as you can, take one day at a time, and try not to worry too much (I know, I know, next to impossible)!!! We are sending you four all our love and prayers. Em, Pete, Mason, & Liam

I am delighted that Zoe is improving! Please try to rest as much as you can, I know you feel you have to be with the girls all the time but you need to recharge to be able to keep things going for the coming weeks. And please let your local friends know if there is anything we can do.

Hi,

Debbie, don't forget that YOU had your own surgery! You need to rest up so that you heal as quickly as possible. Sleep whenever you can. Hire that cleaning person again and have one of your local friends organize meals for you.

I haven't written yet, so I'd like to take this opportunity to wish you a double mazal tov. Thanks for keeping us posted through this blog.

Well, that's wonderful news about Zoe and that Sadie is being taken such good care of, too. I can't imagine how exhausting all of this must be. Even just the mental stress! But add to that the healing from your c-section (i've had 2, they are not fun) and traveling back and forth all the time...yeesh. I wish for you to get some rest to recharge yourselves. I know that must be next to impossible because you 2 are already such good parents. :) Try to take it as easy as you can by accepting help for the fringe stuff like food and cleaning and that may allow you to use your energies for what you want to use it for. So glad Zoe is doing well and that Sadie is still keeping up the fight too!!!
